Tuesday Class

Since missing May class as I went to Ireland for my friend's Lindsay and Colm's wedding it was lovely to see my ladies for my class today.  We have a lovely catch up and natter and made the beautiful cards below..

This was my card that I made my lovely mum for her birthday and although the leaf embelishment was not a Stampin' up! one it matched the lovely Stampin' up!  gold sequins and sparkled on the card.  The stamp set Falling Flowers is just adorable with framelets to match and I am so glad it continued into the new catalogue so I could share with my ladies.  My Mum loved it and enjoyed recreating it herself at class.  Can you see one of the new in-colour inkpads sneaking into this card too.

This card is an old faithful style that is so simple but looks very effective with a simple fold you can turn your blank card into an easel card that stands up and looks stylish on display.  This is another of the new in-colours used with inks, card and DSP with a lovely birthday greeting to top it off.  The ribbon is just bent over  to pleat at the bottom to fancy it up..  in the next picture you can see how one of my ladies Chrissie folded her ribbon in a zigzag pleat which I have not seen before and it looked fabulous.

I got the idea for this card off the brilliant Dawn Griffiths one of our American demonstrators I follow her youtube account and she has some brilliant cards.. click HERE for Dawn's video
This is a really super little card that looks great when opened out to display and stands up so pretty.  I have used the new in-colours again that I am loving and the great Time to party stamp sets it off a treat, I added a little tab to pull the front with and the lime ribbon just popped on the card... I love it.

Some of my class ladies.. Mum, Kay & Esther have been making these adorable little knitted hats at their U3A meetings for Age Concern to be used on the smoothie bottles in store to raise money for charity.  I just had to show them off on here as they are just brilliant... well done girls!
