November Card Class

Well after landing back to earth with a bump after attending the fabulous Stampin' Up! European Convention in Manchester here are our makes from this months class.

My lovely ladies came again eager awaiting to see what we was going to make and hear all about my convention trip so lots of snipping and chatting later here are our makes from yesterday :-)

Card in a Box

This is a beautiful card that has been popping up on the Demo web sites and group chats and is just adorable I just had to make it and show my ladies although looks stunning and difficult was reasonably easy to make and everyone could not believe the wow factor when opened for the first time..

You simply make a box by placing piece of A4 cardstock on the trimmer with the long side at the top and then score at 7 - 14 - 21 - 28 then turn card round so short side at top and score at 7 then cut off at 15.  The bit you cut off put back in trimmer with the piece that has little scored section at the left and cut at 10 then cut down middle at 3 to make to shapes and when folded on the scorelines create 2 little Z shapes these are simply glued inside to create 3 sections inside box (stick them both with tabs facing same way) so that folds flat easier.. Next punch large scallop punch out twice and stick one to the top of each inside tab to create scaffolding section for the flowers to be stuck to.
The papers for the flaps measure 6 x 6 and the bottom sides are 6 x 7 on the back section do not score at flat line and stick a white panel of card so stands up as the back wall and gives you somewhere to write on.. this measured 14 x 6. Once you have stamped the flowers and punched out simply stick at random around the back panel and the 2 scallop circles and whoo hoo that's it and your card is ready to send to friends and family so they can join the wow factor..

Hot Chocolate Mug Card

This is another delightful project that I first saw from one my lovely Upline Monica Gale sent me and I just had to create it so could share with my class.

It is another stunning card that is easier to make than it looks lol..  Simply take a card blank with top fold and on one end only cut out a circle shape from one side only to create the pocket.  Fix sides together with red line tape and fix the handle inside before closing shut, handle is simply a piece of card punched with the 1 inch square punch and then trim 3 sides at 1 cm and the other at 2cm then fix inside card sides before adhering together.  Punch a hole above handle with hole punch, cropodile etc and tie a pretty ribbon through.  Decorate with products of your choice and stick a hot choc sachet  and a candy cane inside and wow you are done.. I used a lovely stamp set that can be not only used for christmas but add a birthday greeting underneath and the parcels become birthday ones too.

We made an envelope with the new envelope board to fit our project as it measured 6 x 7 cm and was too big for square envelope but too small for standard C5.. we looked up on the chart for the size cut our white 12x12 SU card to 10 1/4 inches and scored at 4 3/4 then followed instructions to complete the envelope and stamped with the stamp set to coordinate.
