October card class #1

Hello lovely bloggers and an apology for delay in posting my pics from my last card class - combination of a poorly computer and not enough time when mended... here goes.  This is October Class #1 as I have another class on the 29th..

Yet again we all had a blast of chatting, crafting, supping tea and eating cake whilst creating our master pieces.. everyone enjoyed the class and all made beautiful creations.

2x2x2 Cube Box

I got the idea of this brilliant little box off my demo pal's youtube video shown click here for the instructions how it is made Sam is sooo clever at making boxes and the video is really easy to follow.

We used the lovely Coastal Cabana card stock to make the template and used the matching DSP to cover the sides of the cube to decorate.  I gave my ladies a choice of either a 3d butterfly on the lid or a 3d circle made using the brilliant punches.  The boxes can be made in advance as they fold and store flat until needed.. certainly a lovely little project to try.

MATERIALS USED
CARD - Coastal Cabana

RIBBON - Whisper white organzaPAPERS - In colour 2013-15 DSP pad
TOOLS - Elegant Butterfly punch and 1" circle punch

Bird punch easel card

I have made and shown the lovely easel cards before on my blog and they are so simple to make and are perfect when you just want something a little bit different.

We used Pumpkin Pie card stock for the card and Baked Brown Sugar for the background on the front.  The insert for the base was whisper white card stock and inked with the super roller wheel stamp Very Vintage stamped with matching Pumpkin Pie and one of the Brights collection buttons to act as a stopper in the middle.  The bird and flowers were stamped out from the Language of Friendship stamp set and punched with the matching punches.

Embossed Christmas Card

Using the postage punch we punched out 6 DSP from the mini books in the Christmas catalogue and stuckdown onto cardstock then ran them through the BigShot machine with the emboss folder to give them a super embossed feel, some ladies put the tree through too :-)  A simple top fold card latered with the punched, embossed topper and finshed off with a stamped image from the lovely Evergreen stamp set set 3d on dimensionals topped with a star punched from the beautiful glittercard from the Christmas catalogue.  Our class card had the greeting at the top but unfortunately I lost my copy so picture is from another similar one which just had an extra bow at the top..
